Pink Goes Good with Green: The Ultimate Wicked-Inspired Cocktail & Mocktail
There are few things in life I know for certain. One, Wicked will forever be iconic. Two, Elphaba and Glinda are the ultimate frenemies. And three, pink and green is a color combo that will never go out of style – especially when it comes to drinks.
So, naturally, when planning my Wicked dinner and a movie night, I needed a cocktail that captured the magic of this story. Enter Pink Goes Good with Green, a layered drink that’s as visually stunning as it is delicious. It’s sweet, a little tart, and refreshingly bold – just like its Broadway (and now movie) inspiration.
And because I believe everyone should be able to sip in style, I’ve got both a cocktail and a mocktail version, so no one is left out of the fun. Whether you’re here for the booze or keeping it sober, this drink is guaranteed to be a showstopper.
How to Make Pink Goes Good with Green
This drink is all about the layers – just like Glinda and Elphaba’s friendship. You’ll start with a vibrant green base, top it with a luscious pink layer, and finish it off with a sparkly rim. And, of course, a tiny witch hat and a star wand for that extra Wicked flair.
The Cocktail Version:
- Midori brings the green, with its sweet melon flavor.
- Vodka gives it a little extra oomph (because we’re fancy like that).
- Pink Starburst-flavored ICE sparkling water creates that gorgeous pink top layer.
- A sugared rim adds the finishing touch.

Pink Goes Good with Green – A Wicked Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 oz Midori
- 1.5 oz vodka
- 4 oz Pink Starburst ICE sparkling water
- Ice crushed or cubed
- Green and pink sanding sugar for the rim
- Simple syrup for rimming the glass
- Mini witch hat and star wand for garnish optional, but highly encouraged
Instructions
- Rim your glass with simple syrup, then dip it into a mix of pink and green sanding sugar.
- Pour the Midori into the glass first.
- Fill the glass to the top with crushed ice (this helps keep the layers separate).
- Slowly pour vodka over the back of a spoon so it floats above the green layer.
- Top with Pink Starburst ICE sparkling water, pouring carefully to maintain the layers.
- Garnish with a mini witch hat and a star wand for full Wicked effect.
- Sip and enjoy your magically layered masterpiece!
The Mocktail Version:
- Green Hawaiian Punch gives it that striking green base.
- Pink Starburst ICE sparkling water keeps things fun and fizzy.
- It’s just as pretty, just as delicious, and 100% kid-friendly.
This drink doesn’t just look magical – it’s light, refreshing, and dangerously easy to sip.

Let’s Talk About That Presentation
Because let’s be real—if a themed drink isn’t aesthetically pleasing, did it even happen?
✨ The Rim: A mix of pink and green sanding sugar because details matter.
✨ The Glass: A big ol’ goblet, because Elphaba and Glinda would demand nothing less.
✨ The Garnish: A mini witch hat, because duh.
✨ The Stirrer: A sparkly star wand, because we’re channeling our inner Glinda here.
Honestly, if your drink doesn’t look like it belongs in The Emerald City, you’re doing it wrong.
