✨ WALL-E Dinner and a Movie Night

There’s something a little ridiculous, and also kind of magical, about turning a dystopian animated film into a five-course comfort food feast. But that’s the whole point of what I do. It’s not just about the recipes. It’s about storytelling through food, so I went all in for this Wall-E dinner and a movie night

I didn’t just cook a meal – I designed a whole culinary universe. One that’s equal parts comfort food, futuristic flair, and storytelling.

💛 A New Kind of Storytelling

This Wall-e dinner and a movie night was special for another reason too: it was one of the first times I started telling my own story alongside the food.

Not just showing the plate. But showing the process. The chaos. The meaning behind it all.
It’s been almost six months since I consistently showed my face in my content – and even longer since I let people hear my voice. But this week, something shifted.

I started talking. I started sharing the stories behind the meals. And I realized that’s what makes these nights feel real, not just the recipes, but the people behind them.

So yes, this meal was themed to WALL-E.
But it was also themed to something else: transformation.

🥧 Buy N Large Chicken Pot Pie Cups

Let’s be honest – there was no way I was going to blend a pot pie just to stay “on theme.”
Instead, I created these Buy N Large Chicken Pot Pie Cups, which might just be my favorite thing on the menu.

They’ve got a creamy chicken and veggie filling, buttery puff pastry “crust,” and they’re served in clear cups with custom-designed Buy N Large labels that make them look like they came straight off the Axiom.

And here’s the twist: when I first met my husband, he told me he hated pot pie.
Now? He requests this one all the time.

🧱 Loaded Trash Cubes

These were meant to be little loaded mashed potato cubes. Buuuut the texture wasn’t quite cooperating (classic movie night chaos), so I pivoted to layered thin-sliced potatoes with cheddar and bacon, baked into crisped-up little “trash bricks.”

They still looked perfectly compacted—and honestly? Even better than my original plan.

Each cube was topped with a parmesan crisp “lid,” a dollop of sour cream, and a microgreen or chive. We even made custom “recycle” picks to stick on top. Because if you’re going to make food inspired by WALL-E, you commit.

They were golden, melty, and disappeared faster than I expected. Which feels thematically appropriate.

🌱 EVE Pod Salad Cups

I wanted something that felt crisp, light, and a little futuristic.
These EVE Pod Salad Cups were layered in clear cups with green goddess dressing, shaved cucumber, snap peas, and microgreens—finished with a parmesan crisp or crispy wonton strips for a bit of crunch.

They were sleek, vibrant, and almost too pretty to eat.
A perfect little nod to EVE’s aesthetic: minimalist on the outside, full of life inside.

🌌 Galaxy Fruit Plate

This was one of those dishes where the visual just clicked.
I arranged blueberries like a night sky, added star-cut melon, black grapes, frozen pomegranate arils, and little pieces of dragonfruit to look like stars and moons scattered across a black tray.

It was cosmic.
It was fruity.
And it was exactly what a galaxy should taste like.

The best part? It was super easy to throw together—and looked like it took way more effort than it did. (We love that.)

🌿 Plant-in-a-Cup Dirt Cupcakes

Okay. This might be the cutest dessert I’ve ever made.

These Plant-in-a-Cup Cupcakes were baked right inside mini terra cotta pots, frosted with chocolate, topped with crushed Oreos for “dirt,” and finished with fresh mint or edible flowers.

A few even had fondant boots or little flags. Because obviously.

It was a perfect nod to WALL-E’s plant discovery—and somehow still felt cozy and playful, even with the end-of-the-world undertones. 😂
