The movie may be dark and dreary, but it’s also strangely romantic. So I decided to build a menu that felt like a hauntingly elegant wedding feast — something Emily would have served in the Land of the Dead, complete with ghostly details, eerie colors, and just enough sparkle to feel alive.

To round out the plate, I paired them with Enchanted Forest Rice, a wild rice blend dotted with mushrooms and herbs, and Crispy Brussels Sprouts roasted until they’re caramelized and slightly charred. Why I Loved This Movie Night

This was one of those spooky movie night ideas that surprised me. I went in expecting pure gothic gloom and came out feeling all the feels. The animation is stunning, the music is hauntingly beautiful, and Emily? She’s the ultimate tragic romantic, literally dying for love and still rooting for it.
