And let’s be real, nobody throws a holiday party like the Peanuts gang. The A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving dinner scene is legendary. Popcorn, buttered toast, jelly beans, and good friends, it’s pure comfort food chaos and nostalgia.
I wanted to create a snack board that captured every goofy, sweet, and totally unhinged moment from the movie. Plus, it was the perfect excuse to eat dessert before dinner. (Sorry, not sorry, Mom.)
So this board is my tribute to Snoopy’s famous feast, with a Fairytale Foodie twist … easy shortcuts, playful styling, and just enough homemade magic to make you look like a movie night genius.

The Full Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Snack Board Menu
Ready to build your own Peanuts-inspired party? Here’s everything I included, plus some tips and swaps so you can make it your own.
1. Snoopy Snack Mix
I had to start with a treat for the MVP of the show…Snoopy! This muddy buddy-inspired snack mix is made from Chex cereal, melted dark chocolate chips, chunky peanut butter, powdered sugar, and finished off with Reese’s Pieces for those classic fall colors. (Bonus points for using the Snoopy-branded Chex if you find it during the holidays.)
Fairytale Foodie Tip: Serve it in a cat bowl for that extra “wait, am I in the cartoon?” moment.
2. Linus’ Pigs in a Blanket
These are simple but always a hit. I used Hebrew National premade, frozen pigs in a blanket, then tucked a Linus character pick in the center. You can always make these from scratch with mini cocktail dogs and crescent rolls, but these premade pigs in blanket slap!! This is my edible shoutout to Linus and his blanket. No actual blankets required.
3. Uncrustables with Charlie Brown’s Face
It’s not a Charlie Brown board without his classic “good grief” expression. I took store-bought Uncrustables and added his face with a little black icing gel. Could you make PB&J from scratch? Sure. But Uncrustables are a time-saving hack I will never apologize for.
4. Snoopy’s Iconic Thanksgiving Spread
Straight from the movie: buttered toast, popcorn, jelly beans, and pretzel sticks. Simple, quirky, and instantly recognizable. I built my board starting with the toast, then filled in with the popcorn. It’s perfect for tucking all the smaller treats in around the edges.
5. Vanilla Zingers with Charlie Brown’s Shirt Pattern
These little snack cakes, Vanilla Zingers are store-bought and take five seconds to Peanut-ify. Use black icing to add that famous zig-zag pattern. Suddenly, you’re a dessert designer. This is one of those details people will notice and love. I did not know when I planned to make these treats that my husband’s childhood gas station snack was a pack of Vanilla Zingers – he was like a kid in a candy store seeing these on something I made.
6. Decorations and Character Picks
Print out Peanuts characters, cut them out, and tape them to toothpicks. Stick them in your snacks for instant charm. These little touches bring the board to life and make it feel straight out of the cartoon.
How to Build the Ultimate Charlie Brown Snack Board
Start big, then fill in.
Lay down your biggest items first: snack mix in the cat bowl, pigs in a blanket, and Uncrustables. Then fill in with the toast, jelly beans, and vanilla Zingers. Popcorn is your “fluff” – pile it around the edges to hold everything in place and fill gaps.
Embrace shortcuts.
This is the snack board for people who want holiday magic without dirtying every bowl in the house. Store-bought is your friend. If you want to go homemade on anything, let it be the snack mix.
Make it interactive.
If you’re hosting, print out extra character picks and let everyone stick their favorite Peanuts pal on their snack.

Every movie night deserves a little magic and maybe a few extra jelly beans.
Snoopy’s Snack Mix (Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Muddy Buddies)
Ingredients
- 6 cups Snoopy-branded Chex cereal or any Rice or Corn Chex
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup Reese’s Pieces or M&M’s for garnish
Instructions
- Pour Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave for 60–90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour chocolate mixture over Chex cereal. Gently fold with a spatula until all cereal is evenly coated.
- Add powdered sugar to a large zip-top bag. Add coated cereal, seal the bag, and shake until the cereal is well-coated in powdered sugar.
- Spread the muddy buddies onto a baking sheet to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Once cool, transfer to a serving bowl (bonus points for a pet bowl just like Snoopy’s!) and sprinkle Reese’s Pieces on top for that fall/Peanuts touch.
