Haunted Mansion Snack Board for the Ultimate Disney Movie Night

If you’re looking for a Haunted Mansion snack board for your next Disney movie night, Halloween party, or trip through the afterlife, THIS ONE might be one of my favorites I have ever made.
At the start of the new year – I plan to create a full series of snack boards and dinners inspired by Disney Parks – so while this is part of our official Spooky Lineup this year – it is only part one of a very fun series I cannot wait to jump into!
Which is hilarious, because back in August when I started planning all of the snack boards I wanted to make for spooky season, I had about 15 ideas on my list.
Some came to me immediately.
Haunted Mansion? Nothing.
It just sat there at the bottom of my list staring at me. 😂
Then the Doom Buggy slider idea came to fruition. Then came the Madame Leota crystal ball drinks.
And suddenly, this little board I had almost no ideas for turned into one of the CUTEST boards I have ever made.

A Haunted Mansion Movie Night Inspired by the Disneyland Ride
Now for the fun part: I have ALWAYS been obsessed with the Haunted Mansion.
I am absolutely one of those annoying people who recites the entire opening while standing in the stretching room elevator.
Bwahahaha.
And I may have a slightly controversial Haunted Mansion opinion: I actually get sad when Disneyland turns it into Haunted Mansion Holiday for half the year!
IT IS ALREADY A SPOOKY RIDE.
It does not need to be changed for Halloween!
Don’t @ me. 😂
I’ve also seen both Haunted Mansion movies, and I still think the OG Eddie Murphy version is better than the newer one.
But this board actually isn’t based heavily on either movie. I wanted it to feel like my beloved Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland, which also means you could make this board almost any time of year.
Spooky season is just a bonus.
Haunted Mansion Stretching Portraits

We obviously cannot make a Haunted Mansion themed snack board without the iconic stretching portraits.
I purchased the printable artwork I used, so I cannot share the files themselves, but I have linked everything you need to recreate the look.
I printed the stretching portraits and added them to place card holders so they would stand upright behind the board.
You can find the Haunted Mansion stretching portrait printables I purchased here.
They made SUCH a difference in the final setup.
Doom Buggy Sliders

The Doom Buggy sliders were actually the very first idea I had for this board.
I was scrolling TikTok one day and saw someone make little Doom Buggies out of Ding Dongs, and immediately thought:
WAIT.
BURGERS.
I grabbed some pretzel slider buns and made little mini burgers, which ended up being the absolute stars of the board.
You could also easily turn these into ham and cheese sliders if you want something you can assemble and bake all at once.
But the BEST part?
The tiny Hitchhiking Ghosts riding along on top.
I used this Hitchhiking Ghosts printable, printed the ghosts onto photo paper, cut them out, and attached them to toothpicks with tape.
Voila.
Your Doom Buggies officially have passengers.
SO. CUTE.
999 Happy Haunts Fries
Next to the sliders, I added our favorite smiley fries and called them 999 Happy Haunts Fries.
If you’ve followed my snack boards for any length of time, you already know I love these things.
They’re adorable. They’re easy. They fill up a board beautifully.
And most importantly, they’re FRENCH FRIES.
I usually find the smiley fries at Walmart.
Madame Leota Crystal Ball Drinks

And now for the SHOWSTOPPER.
The Madame Leota crystal ball drinks!
I started with a round fishbowl-style glass. I linked a couple of glass options, but check your local Dollar Tree too because they sometimes have the PERFECT size for this.
For a kid-friendly Madame Leota drink, you can make this ridiculously easy.
Fill the glass with:
Blue Hawaiian Punch, blue Powerade, or basically any bright blue drink your kids love.
Then put the glass on one of these light-up LED coasters and add the Madame Leota printable.
THAT’S IT.
Look at her!!

Adult Madame Leota Cocktail
For the foolish mortals over 21, make it a cocktail:
- 1 ½ oz vodka
- 1 oz blue curaçao
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz lemon-lime soda
Add the vodka, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice to an ice-filled glass and stir. Top with lemon-lime soda.
Set it on the light-up coaster, add Madame Leota, dim the lights and suddenly your kitchen has a séance room.
Zero actual spirits required.
Well.
Except the vodka. 😂
Haunted Mansion Grave Dirt Cups

Next up: grave dirt cups.
These are one of those Halloween desserts that look adorable but require almost no effort.
Layer chocolate pudding with crushed Oreos and finish each one with a couple of gummy worms with a Milano cookie tombstone.
I used an edible food marker to write names from the Haunted Mansion graveyard on mine, including Good Old Fred and Dear Sweet Leota.
And there is actually some very cool Disney lore behind those tombstones.
Many of the humorous tombstones created for the Haunted Mansion were tributes to the Imagineers who helped bring the attraction to life. Disney Legend X Atencio, who helped develop the attraction’s story and wrote the lyrics to “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” created epitaphs honoring members of the Haunted Mansion team.
So those silly names aren’t just random spooky decorations. They’re little tributes to the people behind the Mansion.
Good Old Fred, for example, honors Disney Imagineer Fred Joerger, who worked on models and dimensional design for attractions including the Haunted Mansion.
And Leota has an even more direct connection: Imagineer Leota Toombs Thomas became the face of Madame Leota herself.
Which somehow makes writing their names on cookies feel much cooler.
More Haunted Mansion Snacks

At this point, the major themed elements were done, so I filled in the board with a few easy ghost treats:
Oreo Happy Ghost Cookies
Ghost Peeps
Pillsbury Ghost Sugar Cookies
And listen.
You KNOW I am never going to pass up an opportunity to throw a Pillsbury character sugar cookie onto one of these boards.
At this point, I think it is part of my brand contractually, though I’ve never partnered with Pillsbury officially. 😂
I also used the Haunted Mansion bust artwork for several of the food tags. Just like the other artwork, I purchased the files and cannot redistribute them, but you can find the Haunted Mansion bust printables I used here.
The Finished Haunted Mansion Snack Board

I genuinely cannot believe this was the board I had almost no ideas for.
It went from sitting at the very bottom of my Halloween planning list to being one of the cutest movie night boards I have ever made.
The Doom Buggies started it.
Madame Leota took it completely over the top.
And once those little Hitchhiking Ghosts were riding around on burgers, I knew we had a winner.

Whether you make this for Halloween, a Haunted Mansion movie night, a Disney party, or simply because you’re another Haunted Mansion obsessive who thinks the Holiday overlay lasts WAY too long, I hope this gives you plenty of ideas for creating your own.
You can find the board, Haunted Mansion printables, crystal ball glasses, light-up coasters and other supplies I used in my Haunted Mansion ShopMy collection.
