By the time the sequels rolled out, I was working at a movie theater. Total chaos. Screaming crowds, nonstop showings, and an endless line for popcorn that looked like a horror movie in itself. Those memories make Scream one of my ultimate comfort-slashers. It’s nostalgic, it’s campy, it’s gory perfection.

So when I decided to recreate a Scream dinner and a movie night, I knew it had to be bold, bloody, and a little over-the-top. Every dish on this spooky dinner party menu pays homage to the chaos of Woodsboro, with a gourmet twist.

What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie Snack?

Every good horror movie starts with popcorn, right? But this isn’t your average buttery bowl – this is Bloody Popcorn.

I popped Jiffy Pop the old-school way (because you can’t watch Scream without that sizzling stovetop nostalgia), then drizzled it with caramel dyed a deep, blood-red hue. The result is sweet, crunchy, and just a little creepy.

This is the perfect spooky snack for any Halloween movie night or themed dinner party, familiar and comforting but with just enough horror flair to make you jump when the phone rings.

For the main event, I wanted something indulgent and cinematic…the kind of meal that could survive a chase scene. Enter the Stabby Patty.

This is a juicy gourmet burger stacked high with melted cheddar, crispy bacon, and fresh lettuce on a toasted brioche bun. The pièce de résistance? A chef’s knife stabbed straight through the top, because let’s be honest, it’s not Scream without a little drama.

My Killer Drip Cake is a simple red velvet cake covered in smooth white frosting and finished with a dramatic red drip glaze. To finish the look, I plunged a large kitchen knife into the top. It’s eerie, theatrical, and guaranteed to be the centerpiece of your Halloween tablescape.

To wash it all down, I mixed up a Bloody Revenge Martini, a creamy red-and-white cocktail that looks deceptively elegant until you notice the syrup dripping down the rim. It’s equal parts spooky and sophisticated, a creepy cocktail worthy of Sidney Prescott herself.

Serve it chilled in a coupe glass and drizzle the “blood” syrup over the top right before serving for the ultimate slasher effect.
