Swamp Water Cocktail – A Princess and the Frog Inspired Drink
Swamp Water Cocktail – A Princess and the Frog Inspired Drink
If you’ve ever wanted to sip on something straight out of the bayou – without actually drinking murky swamp water—this is the cocktail for you! Inspired by The Princess and the Frog, this drink is a fun, creamy, and tropical delight that brings the magic of the firefly-lit swamp to life.

💬 Fireflies in the bayou never tasted so good!
The Inspiration Behind Swamp Water
When brainstorming drinks for our Princess and the Frog dinner and movie night, I knew we needed something that screamed bayou magic—and what better inspiration than the firefly-filled swamp scene with Ray? This cocktail mimics glowing swamp water, complete with fairy lights to represent the fireflies and a frog candy garnish for that extra nod to Tiana and Naveen.
Oh, and the flavor? It tastes exactly like your first legal drink at 21—except way better. If you ever had a Scooby Snack shot at a bar back in the day, this drink will take you right back. Creamy, tropical, and dangerously delicious. And yes, I even made a mocktail version, so nobody has to miss out on the fun.

Making this drink couldn’t be easier. No fancy techniques, no complicated layering—just shake it up and pour! The magic is all in the presentation.
- The Fairy Lights: These give the drink that firefly glow effect.
- The Frog Gummy Garnish: Because what’s a swamp without a frog?
- The Tall Glass: No reason at all, it was just my newest glass. 🤷♀️
And just like that, Tiana and Naveen would be proud.
