We’re headed to Paris tonight – well, Disney+ Paris. The city of love, music, and some very sassy cats. Tonight’s pick is The Aristocats Dinner anda Movie, and the menu? Elegant, playful, and paws-itively purr-fect.

This one was personal. I married into a cat family. So naturally, when I finally got to do this film for Dinner & a Movie, I went all in…cat-shaped crostini, pink bows, paw print ice cubes. No notes.

Why The Aristocats Dinner and a Movie?

Because it’s the only movie where a kitten can sass a jazz cat and still get tucked into bed with a pink bow. It’s also Disney’s most Parisian film, full of chandeliers, French rooftops, romantic violin music, and cats who eat like royalty.

I wanted every dish on this menu to feel fancy-but-fun. The kind of food Duchess would serve… if O’Malley was crashing the party with sausage and jazz in tow.

The Full Aristocats-Inspired Menu

🧀 Appetizer: O’Malley’s Baked Brie Board with Kitty Crostini & Catnip Dip

This board is a vibe. Baked brie drizzled in honey and topped with pomegranate seeds, served with a stack of salami roses, fresh fruit, fig jam, and the main attraction: cat-shaped crostini.

I made the crostini using a cat cookie cutter and seasoned them with olive oil and herbs before baking until crisp. The “catnip dip” is my twist on a herbed cream cheese dip, it’s simple, green, and pairs beautifully with the crackers and veggies.

Want to make it even easier? Grab a pre-made cheese ball, a log of goat cheese, or your favorite dip and let the crostini steal the show.

🥗 Side: Petite Bistro Salad

Served in coupe glasses because salads deserve glamour too. I tossed together frisée, arugula, radicchio, walnuts, shaved parmesan, and a quick Dijon vinaigrette.

Optional bougie add-ons: edible flowers, parmesan crisps, or tiny gold forks if you’re feeling extra.

It’s light, elegant, and gives you just the right amount of “I vacation in Paris” energy before diving into the creamy main course.

🍝 Main: Marie’s Bowtie Bravado

This dish is THE moment.

Creamy garlic parmesan bowtie pasta (because Marie wears a bow, obviously) tossed with pan-seared chicken sausage and sundried tomatoes. It’s rich, bold, and surprisingly easy to pull off. Kind of like Marie.

You can use rotisserie chicken if you prefer, but the sausage gives it that jazzy alley-cat edge that balances all the elegance of the rest of the meal.

And yes, this pasta is photogenic. You’re going to want to film a fork twirl.

🍮 Dessert: Crème de la Crème Brûlée

The name says it all. This classic French dessert is rich, silky, and topped with a golden sugar crust that you get to torch (the best part). I topped mine with pink sanding sugar, fresh mint, and a strawberry because… Marie would expect no less.

Don’t be intimidated. It’s actually a super simple custard you can make ahead and torch before serving. No fancy ramekins? Use espresso cups or mason jars.

And if you’re skipping the torch? Your broiler’s got your back. Just don’t walk away—this thing goes from golden to burnt real fast.

🍸 Drink: Ladies Don’t Start Fights

But they do start dinner parties.

This white cocktail is creamy, lightly tropical, and finished with a pink sugar rim, a ribbon-tied stem, and a paw print ice cube because obviously.

The cocktail version features coconut rum, vanilla vodka, and white chocolate liqueur, while the mocktail keeps it alcohol-free with vanilla coconut milk and raspberry syrup. Either way? It’s the prettiest drink I’ve ever made.

Behind the Scenes

This was one of the most fun menus I’ve ever shot. Every element had that extra level of detail I love, cat-shaped crackers, pastel salad, edible glitter on the brûlée.

Also, I finally got to use that paw print mold I’ve been saving for something special.

My husband (aka the taste-tester of the house) went back for thirds of the pasta and immediately asked, “Are we watching The Aristocats again next week?” So I’d say it was a hit.
