The Ultimate Peter Pan Dinner and a Movie Night: A Disney Family Feast That Never Grows Up

If you’re on the hunt for the most magical Disney family movie night idea, stop scrolling and grab your fairy dust – because this Peter Pan dinner and a movie night is straight out of Neverland. This isn’t just another pizza-and-popcorn evening. This is a full-blown adventure for parents, Disney fans, and anyone who refuses to grow up (at least for one night).
Why Peter Pan? Because long before I became the Fairytale Foodie, my first ever mouse ear shop was called Moonlight Lagoon – named after the magical mermaid lagoon in Peter Pan. That movie will always hold a special place in my heart. And now? I get to bring that same Disney nostalgia, storybook spirit, and a sprinkle of pixie dust to your table.
You can get all recipes for this Disney Dinner and a Movie night in the Once Upon a Dinner and a Movie Cookbook Download. This cookbook features 12 planned for you Disney Dinners inspired by classic Disney films like Cinderella, Hercules and Lilo & Stitch. Each menu includes an appetizer, main course, dessert and signature drink (both cocktail and mocktail) plus beautiful printable menus! Download it here!

The Peter Pan Themed Dinner Menu
For this themed Peter Pan dinner and a movie night, every bite tells a story. Here’s what’s on our Neverland-inspired menu (see photo below for the full line-up):
- Drink: Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust (mocktail/cocktail, sparkling green with star fruit)
- Appetizer: Skull Rock Salad (fresh veggies, tomatoes, and skull-shaped mozzarella)
- Main Course: Pirate Ship Cheese Bread (gooey, garlicky pull-apart bread with edible sails)
- Main Course: Neverland Map Pizza (a flatbread pizza designed to look like a treasure map)
- Dessert: Lost Boys Cupcakes (chocolate, green frosting, and a red feather topper)

Peter Pan Menu: What Makes Each Dish Magic
Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust (Drink):
No Disney family movie night is complete without a little sparkle. This neon-green, glittery drink can be made as a cocktail or a kid-friendly mocktail. Finished with a pineapple star and pineapple leaves—because Tink wouldn’t have it any other way.

Skull Rock Salad:
Peter Pan party food should be fun and just a little bit cheeky. This salad is loaded with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and… surprise! Skull-shaped mozzarella, made with a silicone mold that you’ll want to use for every Disney dinner night (link in the recipe).

Pirate Ship Cheese Bread:
The centerpiece of your Peter Pan dinner and a movie night. This isn’t your average garlic bread—stuffed with mozzarella and parmesan, loaded with garlic butter, and finished with DIY paper sails and a classic pirate flag. It’s pull-apart, over-the-top, and practically demands a dramatic “Arrrr!”

Neverland Map Pizza:
Who needs delivery when you can eat a treasure map? Decorate your flatbread pizza with olives for stepping stones, cilantro “forests,” cheddar cheese “mountains,” and a red pepper “X marks the spot.” Interactive, customizable, and totally Instagrammable.

Lost Boys Cupcakes:
Chocolate cupcakes piled high with green frosting, crowned with bright red feather toppers. These are a nod to Peter himself and are the official treat for all your movie-night mischief makers.

Behind the Scenes
Here’s a little secret: This Peter Pan family movie night menu is shockingly easy. No fussy techniques. No stress. And yes, it’s possible to enjoy the party and still have a hot dinner on the table.
Fun fact: This whole dinner was inspired by my old Peter Pan-themed shop, Moonlight Lagoon. So really, you could say Peter himself helped pick the menu. (Or at least, he would approve.)
